2010 Gatherings

The first Midwest Soay Sheep Breeders Gathering will take place on September 11, 2010 at Narnia Farm in Monroe, Wisconsin from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The purpose of the event is create an opportunity to meet each other and work together to support and promote Soay sheep in the USA. Guest presenters include Kathie Miller and Steve Weaver. We will have demonstrations on cleaning, carding, spinning wool and felting. A vet will demonstrate giving injections, hoof trimming, and discuss lambing and general care. There will be opportunities to share information, learn new things, and discuss ways we can work together to promote the breed.

There will be refreshments served at arrival and a BBQ lunch.
